Saturday Sewcials

 
    Saturday Sewcials are the Saturday following the guild meeting.  Sewcials are sometimes taught by members or teachers, which do require a fee for members or non-members (if there is room – priority is given first to SFQG members, please contact Sewcial organizers).

  • Extension cord

  • Cutting board

  • Rotary cutter

  • Sewing machine

  • Rulers

  • Fabric

  Please bring a lunch (snacks might be shared – i.e. potluck) or within walking distance:
 
  • Taylor's Tacqueria
  • Creightons Cafe
  • Safeway (Deli and food to go)
  • Yet Wah

 

San Francisco Police Academy

Directions from Downtown San Francisco
 

  1. Get on Market Street (main street through SF), go towards beach.
  2. Market will start to get windy as you go up through the castro area.
  3. At top of hill, make left onto Diamond Heights Blvd.
  4. Turn right at 1st stop sign.
  5. At 2nd stop sign (just before Safeway), turn right.
  6. Police Academy is on next street, turn left onto street and another immediately left into Academy (Note: the Academy is a former school).
Directions from Daly City (19th Avenue)
 
  1. Get on Juniper Serra Blvd. (runs parallel to 19th Ave.)
  2. Go about 1 mile and as you near Sloat Blvd, get in right lanes and turn onto Portola (Note: soft right not a hard right).
  3. Go about 2 miles up hills, you will be getting close as you pass the Twin Peaks Gas Station (O’Shaunessy).
  4. Turn right onto Diamond Heights Blvd. 
  5. Turn right at 1st stop sign.
  6. At 2nd stop sign (just before Safeway), turn right.
  7. Police Academy is on next street, turn left onto street and another immediately left into Academy (Note: the Academy is a former school)
